The film takes place on a huge cold field of snow where a big blue monster is patrolling around, making sure no structures are constructed. However, a small clueless character; The Fool, has recently completed their new home on this field. They have no clue about the harsh rules of this land and no idea about the existence of the patrolling monster. They will now have to meet the awful beast; Destructor, and experience his need for constant destruction.
I got the idea for this film back in October 2021 while I was studying Film studies and doing an internship at an animation studio at the same time. The theoretics of film and the practical workmanship of producing animated film inspired me somewhat to do something experimental and mix techniques. Yellow Submarine (1968) and Deltarune Chapter 2 (2021) were major influences for me when designing characters and writing the story for this film.
For Constant Destruction, the characters were designed, the script was written and the storyboards were drawn between October and December 2021. The animation was produced between December 2021 and August 2022 (It was all mostly made in my own freetime, that's why the film took around 8 months to make). The character animaton were digitally animated in Adobe Animate, while backgrounds were actual photographs that the animation then was laid on top of in the editing process. The photographs and live action footage was taken on an icy lake in December 2021. The house that was used in the film was made out of cardboard and painted with acrylic paint. The house was destroyed by an actual hammer and was filmed. The footage was then rotoscoped to look like it was Destructor who was destroying the house.
Assisting talents in the making of Constant Destruction were Sonja Larsson, Owen Quinlan, Jacob Saksen and Benjamin Davis. Read about their contributions on the Credits-tab!.

THE FOOL
is an easy-going little figure with a funnel on their head. They don't bother that much really and wants to be kind to everybody! They get very concerned and worried if something bad happens however. Their previous house was destroyed by a giant dog before the film and they really want a new house right now. Do you know where they can stay? Give them a call please. In the film they are voiced by Sonja Larsson.
DESTRUCTOR
is a big terrible and cruel blue monster whose entire purpose is to patroll the huge field of snow to prevent anybody from building any structures. He carries around a big orange hammer if he ever stumbles across a house that he needs to destroy. It's unclear where he came from, but he might be some kind of demon who terrorizes people that needs to build a house for themselves. The demon theory could also explain his very frightening appearence; huge yellow eyes with red irises and big yellow teeth. In the film he is voiced by Noah A. Hall.
THE MAN
is a calm but a bit melancholic man who is wearing circus clothes for some reason. His house was also destroyed before the film, just like The Fool. He doesn't do much of an impression because he is very quite and a bit shy, but that's not a problem, he is very lovable and sweet if you get to know him better. In the film he is voiced by Jacob Saksen.
